Not unless you want to. Most participants ride as part of a team in a relay style, with one rider on the trail at all times. Soloists are also welcome.

Find out how teams and soloists work

Teams can have up to 5 riders. If you have more than 5 people wanting to ride, consider splitting into two teams.

The fitter you are the more you will enjoy it. We recommend training on consecutive days to get your body used to backing up day after day. The Challenge is not a race. If you have any health concerns, speak with your GP before registering.

Every rider and support crew member has a minimum fundraising target. Funds raised go to The Nest.

  • Riders and soloists: $2,500 minimum
  • Home Stretch riders (single day): $2,500 minimum
  • Support crew: $500 minimum

All riders must reach their target before the start in Kalgoorlie.
