Food and Drink
Now we are getting to the important stuff. What to expect on the road and what to bring from home.
Food and drink
You will not go hungry on the Pipeline.
All main meals are provided across the five days, including crockery and cutlery. The food is designed to fuel you through the riding and keep you going day after day. Here is a rough guide of what to expect.
What is provided
- Breakfast
- Cereals, muesli, toast, spreads, yoghurt and fruit
- Lunch
- A wrap, muffin and piece of fruit
- Dinner
- Buffet spread with pasta, meat, potato bake, bread rolls and salad
- Snacks
- Energy bar and fruit
- Drinks
- Juice, tea and coffee at breakfast. Water and sports drinks to top up at the start of each day
No water stops between campsites
There are no water stops between campsites (except for soloists) so make sure your support vehicle is carrying enough hydration for the team throughout the day. If you have any dietary requirements, note them on your Rider Information Form and we will do our best to accommodate you.
What to bring
Feel free to bring along any extra food and drinks you want during the day. A few things worth considering:
- Biscuits
- Dried fruit
- Lollies and chocolate
- Nuts
- Protein powder
- Sports gels
- Pre-dinner snacks: crisps, cheese and crackers
- A few well-earned drinks to crack open when you roll into camp. Just remember you have got to get back in the saddle early the next morning
