Need to know

Your bike

A well-maintained gravel or mountain bike in good condition will do the job. What matters most is that it can handle five days of varied off-road terrain.

  • Run tubeless and use slime – double the usual amount on longer days
  • Good quality tyres with strong sidewall protection make a significant difference
  • Bring a hangar specific to your bike – there are no bike shops on the course
  • Pack spare tubes, chain lube, cable ties and a floor pump in your support vehicle
